DPSS offers various Homeless Programs and Services designed to assist families and individuals who are homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless. To be assessed for any of the Homeless Programs and Services we offer, you must first be eligible for one of our cash/financial assistance programs. To apply for one of our cash/financial assistance programs, applications can be submitted online, in person at one of our DPSS District Offices, or by mail. Click on one of the links below to learn more on how to apply for:

General Relief - if you are a single adult or couple with no minor children, or

CalWORKs - if you are a family with minor children or if you are pregnant, or
 
Refugee Cash Assistance - if you are a refugee.

DPSS also offers nutrition (CalFresh) and healthcare assistance

(Medi-Cal) to homeless individuals and families.
