Americans with Disabilities Act Title II

In accordance with the requirements of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, the Department of Public Social Services does not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities on the basis of disability in its services, programs, or activities.

The Americans with Disabilities Act Title II protects people with physical, mental, and developmental disabilities as well as others with serious health limitations. If you have a disability that makes it hard for you to apply for benefits or meet program requirements, you have the right to request and receive extra help without the need to provide medical documentation.

Reasonable Modification Request

To submit a Request for Reasonable Accommodations/Modifications, you may:

  1. Ask any DPSS employee
  2. Call the ADA Hotline (844) 586-5550
  3. Call the Customer Service Center at (866) 613-3777: Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. People with a speech or hearing impairment may use TTY at (877) 735-2929 or 711 (California Relay)
