Are you a victim of domestic violence and live in a domestic violence shelter? If you are getting CalFresh on a case with the abuser, you may be eligible to have your own separate CalFresh case.
To apply for your own CalFresh case, you may apply online at the BenefitsCal website at https://www.benefitscal.com, by phone at (866) 613 - 3777, by mail, by fax at (310) 215-8220, or in a Department of Public Social Services (DPSS) district office.
The County may ask you for certain information to see if you qualify for CalFresh such as:
Provide any verification you have. If you do not have verification, your worker can help you get it.
