END OF COVID-19 STATE OF EMERGENCY
The COVID-19 State of Emergency ended, on February 28, 2023. In addition, Los Angeles County’s declaration of a local public health emergency (PHE) for COVID-19 ended on March 31, 2023. While the end of the PHE means changes to some programs, many services will continue to be available to support County residents. Most public health response measures are not affected by the ending of local COVID-19 emergency declarations.

Free COVID-19 vaccination is currently being offered to all IHSS providers and recipients ages 6 months and older.
Available vaccines:
Those who want to be vaccinated can schedule a free appointment or find more information regarding the COVID-19 vaccine and booster doses by visiting the Department of Public Health, Vaccinate LA.
IN-HOME COVID-19 VACCINATIONS AVAILABLE
In-home COVID-19 vaccinations are available for homebound Los Angeles County residents. You can request an in-home vaccination if you have difficulty leaving your home safely by yourself in order to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

FREE AT-HOME COVID-19 TESTS FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE BLIND OR HAVE LOW VISION
The federal government launched a new initiative to expand the availability of COVID-19 testing options. The initiative provides free and accessible COVID-19 at-home tests for people who are blind or have low vision.
How the Test Works
The accessible COVID-19 at-home test works with any compatible Bluetooth-enabled smartphone and a free, download application to provide users with guided, audible instructions for test administration and audible test results. Users can download and install the Ellume COVID-19 Home Test application from the Apple App Store (for iOS) or Google Play Store (for Android).
