Family Stabilization

There may be times when a participant has a crisis or situation and needs additional support and assistance. The Family Stabilization program aims to help those individuals. The program is available to new and current CalWORKS Welfare-to-Work participants as well as participants who are not complying with their Welfare-to-Work plan or are sanctioned.

WHAT CIRCUMSTANCES ARE CONSIDERED A CRISIS OR SITUATION?

A crisis or situation would be any individual or family circumstance that causes instability in the family and interferes with the adult's ability to meet the Welfare-to-Work requirements. If you feel you have a crisis or situation, or simply have questions about Family Stabilization services, speak with your GAIN worker and ask for a referral to the Family Stabilization program.
