250% Working Disabled Program (WDP)

The 250% Working Disabled Program (WDP) is for working disabled individuals. Eligible individuals receive Full-Scope Medi-Cal at no cost.

Basic Eligibility Requirements
  • You must be working.
  • You must continuously meet the federal definition of disability for Social Security disability programs.
  • You must be eligible to receive Supplemental Security Income/State Supplemental Payment (SSI/SSP) benefits, if it were not for your earned income.
Citizenship/Immigration Requirements

You must be a Citizen or have Satisfactory Immigration Status to qualify for the 250% Working Disabled Program (WDP).

Effective July 1, 2022, there is no premium for the 250% WDP program and premium payment status no longer is a condition of eligibility. 

Renewal Requirements

Your Medi-Cal eligibility must be renewed at least once a year.
