The LA County Department of Military & Veterans Affairs (MVA) has Veteran Service Officers (VSO’s) that assist veterans, active military, reservists, and their caregivers, dependents, and survivors when seeking federal and state benefits and/or claims such as:
· Compensation
· Pension
· Education, College tuition fee waivers
· Medical & Mental health care
· Home loans
· Burial benefits
· State license plate designation
MVA also provides referrals for veterans concerning alcohol/drug abuse and post-traumatic stress disorders MVA administers Bob Hope Patriotic Hall, a 10-story building with meeting rooms, auditorium, gymnasium, and banquet facilities available to the public.
