Intergovernmental Relations

The role of the Intergovernmental Relations is to identify, monitor, and analyze proposed state and federal laws and funding that may impact programs and services provided by DPSS.

Intergovernmental Relations Section works closely with the County’s Chief Executive Office, consistent with Board policy, to ensure the following DPSS objectives:

  • Adequate funding for Department administered programs and services
  • Maximum flexibility to design programs to meet local needs
  • Quality and availability of services for the customers served by the department
