If you are participating in the GROW Program and are between the ages of 18-24 years old, you can get a job working at a County park.
No Experience Necessary!
The “Parks After Dark (PAD)” summer program allows youth to work at one of the 33 participating County parks. The PAD program is an eight-week program (June through August 2021) that offers many recreational and health-promoting social activities to the local community.
If selected for a PAD position, you will be working as a Recreational Leader or Ground Maintenance staff and get paid $15.00 per hour. Your work schedule will be from Thursday through Saturday. To be selected, all interested youth must pass a Criminal Background Check, which can be attended in-person or virtually (online), and complete the required training.
To learn more about this exciting opportunity and apply, contact your GROW Case Manager.
If you have been scheduled a Criminal Background Check appointment, you need to download this form, complete it and sign. If you are attending the Criminal Background Check in-person, you must take this form with you to the appointment. If you are attending the Criminal Background Check appointment online, you must email it to CDingman@parks.lacounty.gov before your virtual appointment.
