The Department of Parks and Recreation

The Department of Parks and Recreation is temporarily activating 16 of our parks to serve youth with Every Body Plays consisting of a drop-in recreation program with ball/park equipment-check out and open gym from 8AM - 5:30PM for the three days during the LAUSD strike, March 21, 2023 to March 23, 2023. Activities include sports, games, and arts and crafts. Additionally, Deane Dana Friendship Nature Center and Stoneview Nature Center will be open for extended hours and provide grab-n-go meals* during this strike from 8AM - 5:30PM.

  • Available for children ages 7 to 17
  • Free grab-n-go breakfast available from 8AM - 10AM
  • Free grab-n-go lunch available from 11AM - 1PM

*Meals available while supplies last. FREE program! No registration required. Attached is the flyer with location information.

 

Los Angeles County Libraries

Los Angeles County Libraries is providing additional support for parents and caregivers with family members attending LAUSD K-12 schools. Libraries will expand services - in three languages - along with snacks in cities and areas affected by school closures. Attached is the flyer with location information.
