L.A. County District Supervisor K. Barger will join Department of Public Social Services (DPSS) Director Antonia Jiménez and Toy Loan team to host the annual Backpack Giveaway for low-income children, ages 5 through 17.

Backpacks filled with rulers, pens, pencils, notebooks, calculators, erasers and more will be given away.  Over the past five years, L.A. County employees have generously donated over 3,600 backpacks and school supplies to local children.

300+ families will be serviced at this event. To practice physical distancing, all items will be placed into vehicles as families drive through.  All families must pre-register for an appointment to receive backpacks.
