Career Opportunities Resources and Employment
Career Opportunities Resources and Employment (CORE) is a specialized job-readiness type activity that targets participants with more critical needs than those referred to in Job Readiness Training. CORE services are offered to participants, who are chronically homeless, age 50 and older, and those who return to GROW after the expiration of their time limit.
The purpose of CORE is to increase participants’ job readiness and career motivation by reducing potential barriers to employment. It provides intensive workshops that address a number of key areas, including life skills, criminal history, referrals to free community resources, interview techniques, and directed job searches.
