Free Fun for CalWORKs and CalFresh Families
With many new and interesting places to visit and things to do, L.A. County is one of the most popular places to visit in the world.
The Department of Public Social Services (DPSS), in partnership with the Board of Supervisors and the L.A. County Arts Commission, announces free admission to L.A. County museums and Botanical Gardens for local families receiving CalWORKs or CalFresh benefits.
CalWORKs is a time-limited program that provides financial assistance to eligible needy families with (or expecting) children to help pay for housing, food, utilities, clothing, medical care and other necessary expenses.
CalFresh helps improve the nutrition of people in low-income households by increasing their food-buying power, so they are able to purchase the amount of food their household needs.
A link to 32 of the County’s most popular places for CalWORKs or CalFresh families to visit for free to is included below. Please note that only general admission is free of charge; special exhibits or attractions are not included in this offer and most exhibits are closed on national holidays.
