Community Action Board (CAB)
The Los Angeles County Community Action Board (CAB) was created by Board Order No. 107 on December 18, 1979 to serve as an advisory board for the multiple anti-poverty services and agencies funded with the County’s Community Services Block Grant (CSBG). The CAB is a fifteen (15) member board representing the public, low income and private sectors of the community.
VISION STATEMENT: Successful self-sufficiency and well-being for all in Los Angeles County.
MISSION STATEMENT: To 1) enable the poor to become self-sufficient, 2) ease existing poverty’s challenges, and 3) address poverty's primary causes through community action and support.

The CAB meets every third Thursday of the month. Meetings are held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Department of Public Social Services located at 3400 Aerojet Ave.- 2nd Floor Conference Room, El Monte, CA 91731 (subject to change). Below are the CAB meeting calendar and agendas.
