The Acronym Database contains definitions of acronyms commonly used by DPSS staff and related agencies. Entries can be cross referenced, include source of the acronym and links to related web sites and applications.

The Child Care Search directory provides names of licensed child care centers, as well as small and large family child care homes. The list of licensed child care facilities is provided and maintained by the California Department of Social Services Community Care Licensing Division. The directory does not provide names of license-exempt child care providers. The application allows you to search based on city, zip code or full address, and displays facilities near by.

A web-based application that provides a quick and easy way for program staff to monitor the invoices and reports submitted by agencies via the internet.

The DPSS Calendar displays calendar entries to the public and staff. Entries are displayed in listing and calendar month format. The search feature includes date range, Board of Supervisor district and categories which include: Commission for Public Social Services, community events, departmental events, employee events, holidays, job fairs, and events for Toy Loan and Volunterr Services. Employee events can include retirements, holiday celebrations, annual picnics and cultural events.

DPSS News allows authorized staff to publish news articles for the public and staff. Articles are categorized and can include related links and file attachments. Individual articles can be restricted for access by specific groups and individuals. Articles are also published via RSS so that they can be incorporated into news sites like Google Reader or My Yahoo.

The DPSS Portal provides web content to the public and staff. Some content is restricted to authorized users. The portal also hosts numerous web appications.

The EBT Locator allows users to search for locations where EBT cards can be used. ATM and POS locations can be found by entering a city, zip code or full street address. Vendor lists are displayed in order beginning with no service fees and increasing to the maximum fees. If a full street address is provided, locations are displayed based on distance. Results can be limited to locations offering specific services such as Money Orders and Bill Payment.
