MIE provides liaison functions to facilitate the linkage between external audits and the Department. MIE also coordinates recommended corrective action in response to external and internal audits. MIE: |

MIE leads the Department in the following activities: |

Coordinates and monitors the development/implementation of corrective action activities in the CalFresh, Medi-Cal, GR and IHSS Programs. |

Organizes sanction defense activities to contest the pass-on of sanctions to the State and County. |
| |
|
Directs departmental Corrective Action Committee and Subcommittee meetings. |
| |
|
Maintains database to track the implementation of all departmental Audit Related Corrective Actions. |
