APPLICATION COMPLETION

1. Always read the entire application before filling it out.

2. Use blue or black ink only.

3. No whiteout. An application is a legal document.

4. Always ensure that all questions are answered. If it does not apply to you, then write N/A (not applicable).

5. Before turning in an application, be sure to read it again. Make sure all answers are accurate and writing is legible.

6. Take with a cheat sheet. A cheat sheet is a piece of paper that has all employment information listed on it. The employment information should consist of employer names, full address (at least city and state), telephone numbers, dates of employment, salary/hourly wage and a brief summary of job duties.

7. Along with employer information on your cheat sheet, make sure you take 3 references. A reference can be a teacher/principal from school, a current or prior employer, a long time friend, or a church figure.
