SPECIAL TREATMENT PROGRAMS FOR DIALYSIS OR
TOTAL PARENTERAL HYPERALIMENTATION (TPN)

What services are offered?
Provides dialysis or TPN services only. Individuals who qualify for regular Medi-Cal with a share-of-cost will have dual eligibility and will have comprehensive coverage under the regular Medi-Cal program.

Who can be covered?
Individuals who receive or need dialysis or TPN services.

Is there an income limit?
No, but the individual may be required to pay, or assume full legal responsibility to pay, a portion of the costs of the dialysis or TPN and any related services based on a percentage of their Annual Net Worth (ANW).

Is there a property limit?
No, but the net market value of all nonexempt real and personal property is combined with the annual gross income to determine the Annual Net Worth (ANW).

Can an individual receive services if he/she has other health insurance?
Yes.

How much does it cost?
Nothing.

Is citizenship or legal residency required?
Yes, for full benefits. Benefits are restricted to nursing care only for aliens who were denied PRUCOL (permanently residing in the United States under color of law).
