WOMEN,
INFANTS, AND CHILDREN (WIC) If you are pregnant with low income and need health care services and nutrition education, WIC can help you with special checks called "vouchers" for buying healthy foods to keep you, your infant and children (up to age 5) healthy. WIC can also help you find a doctor, clinic or other health care provider. What
services are offered? Who
can be covered? Is
there an income limit? To qualify for the program, the family's monthly income must be BELOW the income limit specified for the family size. For example, for a family size of two and NOT receiving Medi-Cal, the family's monthly income must be less than $1,841.
*** If receiving Medi-Cal, use the income limits under this column. Is
there a property limit? Can
an individual receive services if he/she has other health insurance? Is
citizenship or legal residency required? How
to file an application? |
