MEDI-CAL FOR FAMILIES What
services are offered? Who
can be covered? Is
there an income limit? For example, for a family of two, the monthly income limit is $750. To be eligible for the program, the family's monthly income (after child care and working expense) must be $750 or less.
A share-of-cost for medical services may be required for families with income above these limits. NOTE: Other rules may apply which might allow free Medi-Cal in some cases. Is
there a property limit?
Can
an individual receive services if he/she has other health insurance? How
much does it cost? Is
citizenship or legal residency required? How
to file an application? Apply at a Department of Public Social Services office. To locate the nearest DPSS Medi-Cal office, Click Here.
