Children's No-Cost Medi-Cal Services (Percentage Programs)
 
What services are offered?
Comprehensive preventive care services, primary and specialty care, medical office visits, vision and dental care, mental health services, hospitalization and prescription medicines.

Who can be covered?
Children up to their 19th birthday.

Is there an income limit?
Yes. The income limit depends on the age of the child and family size.   For children ages 0 to 1, the income limit is at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL); ages 1 to 6, at or below 133% of the FPL; and ages 6 to 19, at or below 100% of the FPL.  See Monthly Income Requirements Chart for further details.

Can an individual receive services if he/she has other health insurance?
Yes.

How much does it cost?
Free.

Is citizenship or legal residency required?
Yes, for full coverage.  If not, the person is eligible only for emergency services.

How to file an application?

  • Apply On Line. Click on the "Your Benefits Now" link on the left.

  • By mail. Click here to download an application or call 1(877) 597-4777 to request one be sent to you.
  • Click on Office Locations and use the map to select the office where you want to mail your application.
  • In Person. Please visit the nearest Office Location.
