Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) System

Question:  Can “Emergency EBT” issuances for ancillary (i.e., books, tools, fees, etc.) be all combined as one amount and issued under one single GAIN EBT 13 form?

 
Answer: No. Multiple Emergency EBT issuances on one GAIN EBT 13 form is not permitted. Each Emergency EBT issuance on GEARS (i.e., books, tools, fees, etc.), must each have its own individual GAIN EBT 13 form along with a copy of the GEARS printout presented to the cashier for processing on the Admin Terminal. All information that is entered on GEARS must match what is written on the EBT-13 form (i.e., Accrual Month, Amount, Payment Type, Benefit Type, etc.).
