The Former Foster Care Children FFCC Program  


 

 

This program will provide full, no cost Medi-Cal for persons who were in foster care on their 18th birthday and who were released from foster care due to age. Coverage can continue until your 21st birthday.

all without having to worry about how to pay the bill !

When your foster care status ends, the Department of Children and Family Services will send your Medical eligibility information to the Department of Public Social Services and your case will be assigned to an Eligibility Worker. You will receive a letter giving the name and telephone number of your eligibility Worker.

Important: If you are not eligible to this program because you left foster care before your 18th birthday, you may still qualify for Medi-Cal through the regular application process.
