The value of your Food Stamps depends on the size of your eligible household and the other eligibility factors mentioned above, so we can't give you an exact answer here. But your Eligibility Worker will figure it out and tell you.

Food Stamps can be used for a wide range of products, but there are some restrictions. They may be used to buy:

  • any food meant for human use, and
  • plants and seeds grown for food and sold in grocery stores.

They may not be used for:

  • pet food
  • laundry, household, or paper supplies
  • tobacco
  • alcohol

The ELECTRONIC BENEFIT CARD (EBT) replaced Food Stamp coupons and functions as a debit card. Participants will no longer be required to go to issuance outlets. The participant will use the EBT card at most markets where they shop now.
